Aunt Annie

Near the end of my mom's two week visit, Tom went back to Bloomington with Bosch for a business trip. Bosch helps sponsor the Little 500 bike race which is one of the biggest sporting events at IU. I was sad I didn't get to go with him to see some old friends, but he had a wonderful time. He left Thursday morning, my mom left Friday, and then Annie, Tom's sister, came Saturday afternoon. Which meant, I had about 20 hours alone by myself with the kids. Besides one major meltdown on Ainsley's part, we did pretty well. But we were delighted when Annie arrived. It was so wonderful to have her. As always, Aunt Annie comes bearing gifts. Ainsley was so excited. She got a Sleeping Beauty dress, Sunday dress, and Princess books from Annie, and the Rapunzel Barbie from Grandma Reese. She was so excited! She carried around the Rapunzel doll everywhere we went all week. Annie also brought clothes for Sam. Grandma Reese also sent a beautiful quilt and clothes for Sam too.

We spent the week relaxing and playing together. We went shopping to three different malls and tried to eat as much Panera French Onion Soup as we could. It was a blast. Ainsley loved having Aunt Annie to play with and they have such a special bond with each other. We were so sad to see her leave at the end of the week. But we are excited that Aunt Susie is coming in less than two weeks!

Annie read the Princess books to Ainsley so much that by the end of her trip, Ainsley had them memorized. Here they are reading one of them together:
