One of our favorite things about moving back to Michigan is living near all the lakes. Within a five minute drive I see several different lakes. Homes line the lakes and people spend their days boating on the lakes. It is gorgeous. In the winter they freeze over and people drive out onto the ice to go icefishing, snow mobile, and play ice hockey. It is so different from anywhere we've lived before. Anyway, since there are so many lakes the kids love to go to the beach. Since most beaches close on Memorial Day, we only had about one month to enjoy them before they closed. And so we went every week...one week we went to three different beaches, three days in a row. The kids had blast and can't wait for next summer where they can enjoy playing at the beach again.
