Lincoln Park Zoo

Last week, Laura and I decided to take the kids to the Lincoln Park Zoo. It is a free zoo located on the north side of Chicago. It is right across the street from the beaches of Lake Michigan. We drove together and spent the day at the zoo. It was beautiful weather and the kids had a blast. Ella was even brave enough to run in the water fountains whereas Ainsley just watched. They loved watching the monkeys swing across their cages...particularly a mommy monkey with a baby that would hang on to her as she swung. We ate a picnic lunch at the park and enjoyed the nice weather.

We are so lucky to have the Carlstons so close. We hang out everyday either going walking, preschool, or babysitting each others kids. When we go longer than two days without seeing each other, Ainsley notices and asks where Ella is and when she is going to see her again. I think we are definitely going to go through Carlston withdrawal when this rotation is over!
Sam and Tyler were great hanging out in their strollers all day

I love his big blue eyes, such a contrast from my kids eyes!
