Happy Fourth!

Our Indpendence Day festivities began on the night before the holiday. We live in an area with tons of mini lakes. Each lake had their own firework show. We drove to our favorite lake, found a good place to park and watched the fireworks. From where we were, you could see five different firework shows. Ainsley was a little afraid of them. She didn't like how loud they were. Sam must not have either, because unfortunately he screamed the entire time. It made it a little hard for us to enjoy, so we left early.

On the Fourth of July, we had a pretty relaxing day. Tom was busy finishing up his final presentation so I took the kids to the park for a few hours. It was really hot but Ainsley had a lot of fun. Afterwards we came home and picked up daddy to go out to dinner at an old-time hamburger drive-up. It is right on our favorite lake. We sat in our car, ate cheeseburgers and rootbeer floats and watched all the people boating on the lake. It was so hot, we wished we were out there on the water with them. We missed celebrating with our extended family, but had fun just the four of us.

What a cute, chubby baby! And Ainsley is still pretty darn cute herself. Looks like you had a hot 4th like we did, but fun!
