Coming to Meet Sam

A couple of weeks ago, we were lucky to have Tom's parents come visit again. After Sam was born, they were anxious to see him so they flew out for a quick visit to meet their new grandson and play with their granddaughter. It was a quick trip, but we tried to pack in as much fun as we could. They arrived on Thursday night and we all went out to dinner at Antonios again. The next morning, Tom had to work so I took them to the Henry Ford Complex to visit Greenfield Village. Ainsley loved riding on the train with them. That night, they watched the kids so Tom and I could go on a date. The next day, we took them out to Metro Beach on Lake St. Clair for a picnic. Ainsley loved playing on the playground, digging in the sand, and running around the park with her grandparents. Afterwards we went out to dinner at a BBQ joint before heading home. The last day they were here happened to be Father's Day. We went to church and then had a big dinner before they had to leave. It was a quick trip, but we were so glad to have them here! We were so happy they could meet little Sam!
Holding Sam for the first time
Ainsley has a special bond with her grandpa, she always wanted to sit with him while he was here. Everynight he took her on a walk so they could, "kick a pinecone." Here they are having a race up and down the hill.

Riding the carousel with Grandpa....she was still too afraid to ride on the merry-go-round horses but she informed us when she is four she will be brave enough.

Hanging out at Metro Beach on Lake St. Clair-the umbrella was the only way to shade the babe:)
Grandpa, Daddy, and Ainsley tried to fly our kite but it just wasn't windy enough
