I know I have been really bad at keeping up to date with what we are doing. Everything is going well for us, Tom has been enjoying his last semester of school. His schedule is much easier and so he is home a lot more and we love having him around. He and Ainsley have become best pals. Here are some pictures of some of the activities we've been up to:
A few weeks ago, we went to the NCAA Hall of Champions Museum in Indianapolis with some MBA friends, the Coltrins and the Newtons. The upstairs had lots of fun simulations and activities to do. Afterwards we went to the mall and out to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner.

We went to a Superbowl party with some other MBA friends. We were really dissappointed that our Indianapolis Colts didn't win. But they had a good season.

Ainsley has been getting into everything lately. She is Miss Independent and insists on doing everything for herself such as feeding herself, drinking out of regular cup instead of a sippy cup, picking out clothes and dressing herself. Last night she insisted on wearing her boots from Aunt Susie, but had to put them on herself. She walked around with them on the wrong feet all night but it didn't seem to bother her. When she doesn't get to do things her way, (for example, screw on the lid to her own sippy cups this morning) she gets pretty frustrated and screams at the top of her lungs. She also has started to try to bite and hit me.....where did my little angel go? I believe the terrible twos have started early for us. I am so excited for this new phase:)

She likes to take pictures with the camera...they are usually of the ceiling, but I kept this one because it captured her using the camera in the mirror

Loves to dress up

One of her new favorite books to read is "Alice the Fairy" by David Shannon. It is a really cute story. So she has enjoyed dressing up like a fairy lately.

This is a picture of her "flying really fast" like Alice does in the book. She will run back and forth across the apartment to pretend that she is flying.

For Valentines I bought her this tutu to complete her fairy outfit. She has another tutu from her grandparents she got from Christmas that she loves to wear as well. She now thinks that all skirts are called tutus.

She is also wearing the cute Valentines dress from my mom. Thanks to both grandparents for the packages. We loved them!

So "terrible twos" is a total misnomer (mysnomer? Yikes! My spelling left with my figure when I had kids!). My kids started at about 20 months and ended...wait? They're supposed to end? I'll let you know when that happens! (Kenzie's almost 5...charts are helping! They don't when they're two, sorry.)
I can totally agree with the independence, and the screaming, and shouting. The terrible twos have hit us too! It's like I have to up my game just to make it through the morning. I have to be more clever with bargaining, and suggesting things, ensuring that it is all her idea, or else we're in trouble. She's a darling little stinker, though!!
